Album Notes & Community Reviews

Commissioned by Spike Lee for his seminal film 'Do the Right Thing', this track is a chaotic, dense collage of furious samples orchestrated by The Bomb Squad. Chuck D delivers a revolutionary, unapologetic manifesto demanding Black empowerment and famously tearing down cultural idols like Elvis Presley and John Wayne. It remains one of the most culturally significant and aggressive protest songs ever recorded.
