Idioteque

Album Notes & Community Reviews

A frantic, apocalyptic dance track that signaled Radiohead's full immersion into electronic abstraction on 'Kid A'. Built entirely from a four-chord synthesizer loop sampled from Paul Lansky's avant-garde computer music piece 'mild und leise', the song features erratic, skittering drum programming courtesy of Jonny Greenwood. Thom Yorke's paranoid, scattershot lyrics heavily reference climate change disaster, ideological hysteria, and technological collapse.
