Album Notes & Community Reviews

Driven by intricate, jazz-inflected guitar interplay modeled heavily after The Smiths, this track took an agonizing 373 days of recording and rearranging to finalize during the 'Kid A/Amnesiac' sessions. Thom Yorke's lyrics compare ruthless corporate behavior and human emotional detachment to grisly cannibalism. Its Michel Gondry-directed music video mirrored the song's unsettling atmosphere through a series of continuous, macabre surgical vignettes.
