Lucky

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally recorded for the 'Help' charity compilation before being included on their landmark third album, 'Lucky' signaled a profound evolution in the band's sound. The track features a haunting, three-note guitar intro played by scraping the strings above the nut, establishing an intensely melancholic, atmospheric dread. The lyrics portray a survivor of a plane crash who feels an inflated, almost messianic sense of invincibility.
