Album Notes & Community Reviews

Written by Sharon Sheeley when she was just fifteen years old, this track famously became the very first number one song on Billboard's newly created Hot 100 chart. Its subdued, slightly melancholic country-rock arrangement perfectly suited the singer's relaxed teen-idol persona.
