Album Notes & Community Reviews

Utilizing a beautifully melancholic Billy Cobham jazz sample and incredibly crisp, driving percussion, this track is a definitive classic of West Coast underground hip-hop. The lyrics offer a remarkably laid-back, optimistic reflection on youthful camaraderie and looking forward to an expansive future. It stood in stark contrast to the rapidly dominant G-Funk sound, proving that alternative, jazz-centric rap could thrive in California.
