Album Notes & Community Reviews

Co-written by Bernie Taupin and Martin Page, this highly polished synth-rock anthem represented a complete stylistic reinvention for the remaining members of the Jefferson Airplane lineage. Despite later becoming a frequent target of critical derision, it topped the Billboard Hot 100 and perfectly encapsulated the corporate rock sound of the mid-1980s.
