Time Is Money (Bastard) / Sealed in Skin

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Representing the brutal pinnacle of Swans' early era, this 12-inch single incorporates mechanical, punishing drum machines alongside Michael Gira's misanthropic, barked vocals. The track relies on a relentless, grinding rhythm rather than melody, stripping rock music down to its most primitive and punishing elements. It serves as a crucial bridge between the abrasive noise-rock of 'Cop' and the burgeoning industrial music scene.
