I Knew You Were Trouble.

Album Notes & Community Reviews

This massive hit from 'Red' marks one of Taylor Swift's first major experiments with pure electronic music and dubstep elements. Co-written and produced by Max Martin and Shellback, the song transitions from a strummed acoustic intro into an aggressive, bass-heavy synthesizer drop. The lyrics detail the frustration and self-blame of entering a relationship with clear romantic red flags.
