The incredibly ambitious debut single from the legendary CBGB pioneers, functioning more as a sprawling avant-garde suite than a traditional pop song. Because it stretched over seven minutes, it had to be split into two parts across the A and B sides of the 7-inch vinyl. Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd's intertwining, improvisational guitar work signaled the sophisticated, jazzy potential of the burgeoning New York punk scene.
