Originally conceived during the legendary, abandoned 'Smile' sessions, Brian Wilson's sprawling, multi-part masterwork was finally completed and released by the band years later. The intricate, impressionistic lyricism provided by Van Dyke Parks and the complex chordal structures present a hauntingly beautiful, tragic peak of American art pop.
