Album Notes & Community Reviews
The band's debut single introduced Dolores O'Riordan's breathtaking vocal range, which masterfully incorporated traditional Irish keening (sean-n贸s) techniques into alternative rock. Stephen Street's production wrapped the soaring melody in shimmering, ethereal guitars, capturing the overwhelming optimism of new love. It slowly climbed the charts upon re-release, defining the transcendent sound of 1990s Celtic-infused alternative pop.
