Album Notes & Community Reviews

Inspired by a trip to Beachy Head with his soon-to-be wife, Robert Smith penned this track as a dizzying, effervescent pop song amidst the otherwise moody 'Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me'. The arrangement layers bouncing synthesizers, descending basslines, and jangly acoustic guitars beneath Smith's hyperventilating vocal delivery. It is frequently cited as one of the greatest pop songs of the 1980s, showcasing the band's brilliant melodic sensibilities.
