Album Notes & Community Reviews

A radical, almost avant-garde reimagining of a 1934 jazz standard that transcended the standard doo-wop formula of its era. Arranged by Terry Johnson, the track relies heavily on a repetitive, rhythmic 'sh-bop sh-bop' vocal backing and cavernous studio reverb to create a mesmerizing, dreamlike atmosphere. Its ghostly production style proved incredibly influential on later iterations of ambient and dream pop.
