Album Notes & Community Reviews

The definitive rags-to-riches hip-hop anthem, propelled by a polished, radio-friendly sample of Mt. Mtume's 'Juicy Fruit'. Biggie Smalls masterfully details his transition from street-corner hustling to global superstardom, offering a deeply relatable narrative of triumph and Black excellence. The track essentially established the commercial viability of Bad Boy Records and the glossy 'jiggy' era of New York rap.
