Album Notes & Community Reviews
The Shins' debut single pairs 'When I Goose-Step' with 'The Gloating Sun', two compact indie pop songs driven by James Mercer's high, double-tracked vocal and jangling guitar figures. Issued ahead of the band's debut album, it establishes the melodic, psychedelia-touched template of their early work.
