Album Notes & Community Reviews
Featuring backing vocals from Kirsty MacColl, 'Ask' provides a rare, upbeat contrast to the typically melancholic output of The Smiths. Its bouncy, major-key jangle-pop arrangement underscores Morrissey's characteristically shy and subversive lyrics about breaking free from social inhibition.
