Album Notes & Community Reviews
Serving as the lead single for the compilation 'Trilogy', this track was originally the standout piece from his mysterious debut mixtape 'House of Balloons'. The song's atmospheric, narcotic production and falsetto crooning about transactional romance established the quintessential dark R&B sound of the decade. Its commercial success officially brought The Weeknd out of internet anonymity.
