Album Notes & Community Reviews
Introducing some of the most uniquely constructed compositions in modern jazz history, this recording spotlights the pianist's highly percussive, dissonant approach. Eschewing the rapid velocity of standard bebop, the arrangements rely on quirky, halting rhythms and brilliant architectural logic. The session provided a profound alternative pathway for modern jazz improvisation, demanding meticulous attention to space and thematic development.
