Album Notes & Community Reviews
Disguised beneath an incredibly sunny, buoyant power-pop arrangement and an inescapable 'doo-doo-doo' vocal hook, the track masks a startlingly dark narrative. Stephan Jenkins's rapid-fire lyrics detail a descent into crystal meth addiction and the desperate search for an artificial, fleeting high. This extreme lyrical dissonance failed to hinder the song's massive radio appeal, cementing it as a defining, inescapable hit of the late 90s.
