Lyrics for Finest Actor
He was the finest actor of his generation He sure fooled me He was the finest actor of his generation Left all his stand-ins behind in the dust at Penn Station He sure fooled me He moved like De Niro and talked like O'toole Inside I was scared but he made me feel cool He smelled of tobacco guilt, and red wine And sooner or later the guilt it was mine He played to the camera instead of with me Said "honey, don't pin your hopes on a ship lost at sea" He could've been Burton, Harris or Dean They could've been moments, but they were just scenes He was the finest actor of his generation In retrospect, there's no doubt that he's found his vocation He sure fooled me He sure fooled me
