Unfurling

Lyrics for Unfurling

Remember When the apex moved And the body shook I remember you Unfurling True You done alright for yourself Stuck out, swung in the gap At the spaces between us The bar that is yours Though we drank here, together My bracken hatchling Kite that was yellow And swung with the stars My bracken hatchling Do you remember me? I picture you suffocating In last tulip polytunnel Damp and waterlogged, eroded Because all things erode How the countryside turns in on itself When the road is clear and wet How the countryside turns in on itself Do you remember me? You've done alright for yourself Swung out, stuck in the gap Waste-eyed, charcoal shark sewn to the bar That somehow was ours My bracken hatchling My bracken hatchling My bracken hatchling My bracken hatchling Do you remember me? My bracken hatchling My bracken hatchling Me? And I will finish my drink And on the night walk home Stargazing
