Albee Square Mall

Lyrics for Albee Square Mall

On the mic at this time, in the place to be I'm the inhuman orchestra called Biz Markie The major dancer, make the music with my mouth and all But I'm here to talk about the Albee Square Mall I'm letting people shop in downtown Brooklyn Where I could be found if you're looking for me The B-I-Z, just come check me out 'Cause 24/7, I'm like in the house And when I come in the mall and then I start to roam You wouldn't think it's a store, you would think it's my home 'Cause when I come in a place and then I hang up a sign Readin' "Home Sweet Home, house is mine" Albee Square Mall My house is the Albee Square Mall My house is the Albee Square Mall My house is the Albee Square Mall I been to many malls from state to state But I never been in, say, one this great I hate to say about the other shopping centers that's left But the Albee Square Mall is the doo-doo def I be in there every day, walkin' around chillin' From when they open all the way until When it's about time for the place to close I'm just running things like a pair of pantyhose They all know me, the Biz Markie I get more respect than the average employee I work in any store in the mall Because the place is my house from wall to wall If I could move in, party people, I just might So I could stay forever and it will be just like A bum that you see sleeping on apartments Is how it would be when you see Biz Mark in My favorite mall for having fun Seems to me this mall is like number one And any other shopping center to try to compare There ain't no way they can hang out with Albee Square Albee Square Mall My house is the Albee Square Mall My house is the Albee Square Mall My house is the Albee Square Mall I step in the place and shop around for a while Buy some jewelry from Trani and Ali And after that, I'll go take a stroll inside of Gibb's Puppets, buy some fresh silk Bally's too and Next, stop Olympic Winner to buy some sneakers Then hit the game room to pick me up a Caesar Stroll around with a fly female While security's riffing about, leaning on the rail After that, I go eat some food in Wendy's In the Albee Cafeteria, Cookie Shop, and Blimpy's Store to store just stuffing my face And I do the one-two by saying my grace Finally, I step off all alone Up to the top of the level to use the telephone Never use a quarter 'cause I got a calling card So I can reach out and touch everybody I know And that's where I'll be until the day is done Coolin' in the place that's number one The next time you be in Brooklyn walking around Play like Price Is Right and come on down and Go shopping, go shopping Go shop— Let's all go shopping Go shopping, go shopping Go shopping, let's all go shopping Go shopping, go shopping Go shopping, let's go, go shopping Go shopping, go shopping Go shopping, Swan and Biz, go shopping You that's right, we made number one Albee Square Mall is number one I'd like to thank my man Hall I'd like to thank my man Dore And I'd like to thank my man Dumore I'd like to thank Canine Jeweler I'd like to thank Gibbs I'd like to thank Olympic Winner I'd like to thank Olympic Winner for making my business I'd like to thank Al Capone I'd like to thank Wendy's I'd like to thank Albee Cafeteria And I'd like to thank the Cookie Shop And I'd like to thank Oak Green And I'd like to thank Dose of Madness And Kiwanis and White Claw And the original Pepsi Pop And East New York, Brownsville And everywhere in Coney Island I'd like to thank everybody in Queens, Manhattan And Long Island, and especially Harlem Mall
