Lyrics for ACI

I was a man who couldn't sleep at night I had four mouths to feed It was soon to be five All I had to do was wait in the car and drive But now I'm spending time down at the ACI, the ACI, ACI I'ma spending time down at the ACI Precious life has gone and passed me by While I've been spending time down at the ACI Stolen car, stolen plates New paint job on an old Eighty-Eight Couldn't blend into the wild of a traffic jam Shots fired out by Eagle Square I got mixed up around seventeen Boosting cars with Jackie McGhee We'd take them down to an uncle of his Should have gone to trade school, now I'm scrubbing dishes at the ACI, ACI I'ma spending time down at the ACI Precious life has gone and passed me by While I've been spending time down at the ACI Tried going straight and I just couldn't hack it I'd find myself at the greyhound track But I'd rather be buried under a mountain of debt Than see Jackie laid out with a hole in his chest My youngest was born after my arraignment When bail was set but nobody paid it At least some of my kids, they still pick up their phone When they get a collect call from the place I call home, the ACI, ACI I'ma spending time down at the ACI Precious life has gone and passed me by While I've been spending time down at the ACI I loved that feeling of getting away with something You couldn't wipe the smile from my face But I'm just one of many disposable playthings Another fool will come along and take my place It's been a few months since the kids came by To see their old man and just say "hi" It's been much longer since I've talked to their mother Jackie's gone and I ain't getting any younger at the ACI, ACI I'ma spending time down at the ACI Precious life has gone and passed me by While I've been spending time down at the ACI, the ACI, ACI I'ma spending time down at the ACI Precious life has gone and passed me by While I've been spending time down at the ACI ACI, ACI Breaking rocks down at the ACI ACI, ACI Trying to pick the locks down at the ACI
