Homeward Bound

Lyrics for Homeward Bound

What a glorious day this is gonna be To see all my people happy and free We were wrapped in chains from slavery days Cheated from our land called Africa That's where we are bound and we are going back Who don't wanna come don't call on his name We're all going home one pretty fine day For many long years that's where we're gonna stay No chains around our feet, that means we're free Free to go forward I-yaad So let's live in unity We're going to a place where there is happiness A whole lot of love and self-consciousness The lion of the tribe of King Judah Shall sit upon his throne in Africa A glorious day this is gonna be When all of my poor people shall be free Oh Lord now Say we were wrapped in chains from slavery days Cheated from our land called Africa That's where we are bound and we are going back Who don't wanna come don't call on his name We're all going home one pretty fine day For many long years that's where we're gonna stay No chains around our feet, that means we're free We are one people so let's live in unity We're going to a place where there is happiness A whole lot of love and self-consciousness The lion of the tribe of King Judah Shall sit upon his throne in Africa A glorious day this is gonna be When all of my poor people shall be free Oh Lord singing praises Singing praises No chains around our feet, that means we're free Free fi go forward I-yaad No chains, no boundaries can't stop us now, oh Lord We were wrapped in chains from slavery days Cheated from our land called Africa That's where we are bound and we are going back Who don't wanna come don't call on his name We're all going home one pretty fine day For many long years that's where we're gonna stay Oh, live on Zion I say, yeah Where all of my people shall be free one day Free from misery and captivity Oh Lord now, oh Lord Forward bound, yeah Forward bound, yeah Oh what a glorious day that is gonna be When all of my people living free In Mount Zion I, oh in Mount Zion I Where His Majesty reigns forever and ever And ever I say now, oh Lord now, yeah Forward bound, yeah Forward bound, yeah Rasta people got to go home one day I know
