Aunt Christie's Will

Lyrics for Aunt Christie's Will

The will was read out loud to Wilfred The only living heir to aunt Christie's estate She was so wealthy, stingy, not bounteous Now greedy Wilfred could finally collect All he got, a wooden box Number five etched on the lid The rest got donated according to her will Disappointed, upset and angry He opened only to find A hand drawn map of sorts What was this game? What, what was this game? Still too curious to not explore the map Which led him far and remote He drove for several hours deep into a dark forest Until hе finally found the spot On the ground he found anothеr box but this time It had a four on it, inside a note that read "Dig deep, dear Wilfred, and rich you shall become" Under a pile of leaves he found a shovel He put the shovel to the ground So eager digging away Started building up a pile As the hole began expanding After a few hours the shovel hit something that looked familiar A wooden box marked number three The note inside said "You are almost there" What was this game? The night was creeping in But good ol' Wilfred Kept digging like possessed Failed to see just how deep he was The man in the hole He hit number two The note said the same While his palms had turned blue Covered in dirt and sweat Fanatically toiling with a heavy breath "The prize is mine", he thought "If it takes all night, I'll find the one!" Finally, he felt a thump Dropped down to his knees exhausted He could see the number one On the lid that he now opened Staring shocked in disbelief, the box he held was bland and empty Screaming out in agony, "Just what the hell is this, aunt Christie?" What was this game? Poor Wilfred realized His hole now was his grave As he could not get out That aunt was a bitch
