Closer To The Truth

Lyrics for Closer To The Truth

There is a man There is a man There is a man somewhere who is closer to the truth There is a man somewhere who is closer to the truth There is a man There is a man He may be to the east strumming for bread but not the truth He may be in the USA and knows that it's no use He could be in England in a rock 'n roll group But there is a man somewhere who is closer to the truth He may be in Italy working in a field Or a medic in Vietnam helping bodies heal He could be a Christian man preaching from a book But there is a man somewhere who is closer to the truth There is a man somewhere who is closer to it all He's not looking outwards, he's looking to within But there is a man somewhere closer than we've ever been Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah He could be in Japan high on a mountaintop Or in Sydney, Australia at a psychedelic shop He may be a soldier who's suddenly thrown it all Or he could be on the Mount of Olives Battle line brawling against the world There is a man There is a man There is a man somewhere who is closer to the truth There is a man somewhere who knows that it's no use There is a man somewhere who is closer to it all There is a man There is a man Maybe one too
