Album Notes & Community Reviews

Self-produced during a period of transition, 'Sextet' stands as the zenith of the group's distinct fusion of austere Manchester post-punk and polyrhythmic jazz-funk. The prominent addition of Martha Tilson's ethereal vocals significantly expanded their sonic palate, creating a tribal, danceable atmosphere draped in gothic shadows.
