Nachthymnen (From the Twilight Kingdom)

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Austrian black metal pioneers delivered a remarkably dense, highly complex sophomore effort characterized by lightning-fast tempo shifts and sprawling, labyrinthine riffing. The aggressive, blast-beat-driven foundation is heavily saturated with soaring, medieval-sounding synthesizer melodies and brief interludes of female operatic vocals. It stands as a monumental, highly revered achievement in the mid-90s European symphonic extreme metal movement.
