Recorded during an intensely chaotic period marred by severe substance abuse and financial strain, the Boston rock outfit struggled to complete this disjointed effort. The sessions were fraught with tension, leading to the abrupt departure of lead guitarist Joe Perry before the album's conclusion. Despite the fractured production, the record still occasionally captures their trademark sleazy, blues-driven swagger.
