Biography
Formed in Boston in 1970, Aerosmith became one of America’s greatest rock and roll band by blending blues-infused hard rock with swaggering glam metal. Led by vocalist Steven Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry, the band defined 1970s rock with anthems like "Dream On" and "Walk This Way." Despite battling severe substance abuse that derailed their career, they staged an unprecedented multi-platinum comeback in the late 1980s. With over 150 million records sold, four Grammys, and an iconic music video legacy, Aerosmith remains a definitive force in rock history, cementing their legendary status before retiring from touring in 2024.
