Album Notes & Community Reviews

Pioneering the self-described 'Dark Metal' subgenre, the Bergen-based outfit delivers a monolithic slab of pagan-themed extreme metal. The album moves at a deliberately trudging, militaristic pace, prioritizing heavy, repetitive folk-inspired riffs and profoundly dark atmospheres over the frantic blast beats typical of their Norwegian peers.
