Album Notes & Community Reviews
Self-released primarily on cassette and a small run of vinyl, this rough debut captures the Cincinnati group prior to their development of a signature soul-influenced rock sound. It exhibits a heavier, unrefined grunge and post-hardcore style that aligned closely with the emerging alternative underground of the late eighties. The raw energy displayed here eventually secured the attention of the Seattle-based Sub Pop label.
