Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as his monumental debut full-length album, 'Simulacrum' is a major statement on identity and inclusivity in modern France. Composed using custom patch cables and Max/MSP software, Niamk茅 D茅sir茅 simulates the heritage of his late grandfather's Ivory Coast jazz band through a massive, synthetic ensemble he calls the Mensah Imaginary Band. The record draws heavy inspiration from Jean Baudrillard's theories of simulation, weaving cold post-industrial textures, electroacoustic collages, and abrasive IDM beats.
