Biography

Aho Ssan is the moniker of Niamké Désiré, a Paris-based composer and artist recognized for his intense, textural electronic music. After studying graphic design and cinema, he began creating his own digital instruments. His debut album, 'Simulacrum', released on #Subtext Recordings#, drew from Jean Baudrillard's philosophy to explore his experience growing up Black in France. His follow-up, 'Rhizomes', on *Nicolás Jaar*'s #Other People# label, expanded his sonic and conceptual scope, featuring a vast array of collaborators including *Moor Mother* and *clipping.*. Aho Ssan's work is a precise form of sound sculpture, merging massive digital synthesis with raw, granular textures.
