Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released during a period of profound personal and spiritual turmoil, 'Al Green Is Love' maintains the impeccable, silky Memphis soul standard established by producer Willie Mitchell. Driven by the Hi Rhythm Section, the album is heavily romantic and remarkably smooth, showcasing Green's effortless falsetto navigating lush string and horn arrangements.
