Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking a profound turning point in his life and career, 'The Belle Album' is Al Green's first project following his ordination as a reverend and his split from long-time producer Willie Mitchell. Serving as his own producer and playing acoustic guitar, Green crafts a deeply intimate, stripped-down sonic environment that bridges secular romance and spiritual devotion. The record captures a raw, transitional phase before his complete pivot to gospel music.
