Album Notes & Community Reviews

An absolute pioneer of the Memphis underground scene, Al Kapone delivers an incredibly grim, highly influential milestone with 'Da Resurrection'. The independent release is drenched entirely in the region's signature lo-fi, horrorcore aesthetics, featuring aggressively thumping 808s and ominous synthesizer melodies. It serves as a vital, uncompromisingly violent precursor to the mainstream explosion of Southern trap music.
