Album Notes & Community Reviews
With her hushed, crystalline vocal delivery, the singer perfectly bridges the dramatic sorrow of classic samba-can莽茫o with the modern, whispered aesthetics of bossa nova. The elegant arrangements provide a sophisticated backdrop for her incredibly precise pitch and delicate phrasing. It is a vital, transitional masterpiece in the evolution of Brazilian popular music.
