Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally released as a single-sided, transparent vinyl pressing, this brief but explosive live recording was captured at a momentous Town Hall concert in New York. The saxophonist leads a ferocious quintet through a singular, continuous medley, fusing military march cadences with violent, screaming dissonance and ecstatic spiritual cries. It acts as a concentrated, overwhelmingly powerful distillation of the high-energy avant-garde jazz movement.
