Something Different!!!!!!

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in Sweden before his rise to notoriety in the American avant-garde, this incredibly rare early document captures the saxophonist formulating his revolutionary, wide-vibrato sound. Backed by a relatively traditional local rhythm section that frequently struggles to follow his radical departures, the recording vividly illustrates his violent break from conventional bebop structures. It is a fascinating, historically crucial artifact marking the genesis of one of free jazz's most iconic voices.
