Lunasphere

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating distinctly outside traditional death metal boundaries, the Australian quartet Alchemist delivers a highly ambitious, completely surreal sophomore effort with 'Lunasphere'. The album masterfully weaves intensely heavy, down-tuned riffing directly with sprawling, delay-drenched psychedelic guitar textures and complex, Middle Eastern-flavored percussion. It remains a deeply praised, highly atmospheric cornerstone of the avant-garde metal underground.
