Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during Alfredo Zitarrosa's exile in Spain, this album stands as a towering poetic and political statement against the Uruguayan dictatorship. Combining spoken-word verses with the rhythmic drive of the milonga, the arrangements are both austere and deeply moving. It remains one of the defining masterpieces of the Nueva canci贸n movement.
