Captured spontaneously over three sessions in a hotel in Bamako, this Grammy-winning collaboration pairs the desert blues guitar of Touré with the virtuosic kora playing of Diabaté. The entirely instrumental, largely improvised performances flow effortlessly across traditional West African rhythms, reflecting the deep mutual respect between the two Malian masters.
