Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking her transition to a major label, this spiritual jazz opus dramatically expanded Alice Coltrane's sonic universe by incorporating sweeping orchestral arrangements and heavy synthesizer work. The music reflects her deep devotion to Vedic philosophy and her ongoing exploration of cosmic consciousness. It is a wildly ambitious work that bridges avant-garde improvisation with classical ambition.
