Album Notes & Community Reviews

Her final album for Impulse!, 'Lord of Lords' is Alice Coltrane's most ambitious and majestic orchestral work. The album is a cosmic symphony that expands on the spiritual themes of her previous work, blending her visionary organ and harp playing with a lush, sweeping string orchestra. The music is a powerful and deeply devotional statement, a masterpiece that fully integrates the spiritual intensity of jazz with the grandeur of classical music.
