Album Notes & Community Reviews
Colloquially known as 'The Dog Album', Alice in Chains' self-titled release is an overwhelmingly bleak, doom-laden descent into addiction and decay. Layne Staley's deeply depressive lyricism matches Jerry Cantrell's sludgy, heavy alternative metal riffs, creating an incredibly sad and introspective atmosphere.
