Album Notes & Community Reviews
Fourteen years after their previous album and following the death of Layne Staley, Alice in Chains returned with new vocalist William DuVall. 'Black Gives Way to Blue' retains the band's signature heavy, harmonized sound while acknowledging their grief. The title track features Elton John on piano as a tribute to Staley.
