Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Facelift' was the first Seattle grunge album to achieve widespread commercial success, introducing the world to Alice in Chains' distinctively heavy, metal-adjacent sound. Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell's haunting vocal harmonies explore dark themes of alienation and drug use over energetic, deeply melodic hard rock riffs.
