Album Notes & Community Reviews
Drenched in a campy, b-movie horror aesthetic, this album pushed the boundaries of the London Batcave scene into decidedly more electronic and chaotic territory. 'Maximum Security' utilizes sputtering analog drum machines, heavy tape delay, and Nik Fiend's ghastly, highly theatrical vocal shrieks. The deeply strange, abrasive fusion of early industrial elements and gothic punk solidified their reputation as one of the era's most eccentric alternative acts.
